The following listings are events that the "Road to Mandalay" living history group are intending to attend or have been asked to promote by the organisers.
Events that the "Road to Mandalay" will be participating in will be featured here along with preliminary details of which camp set up we will be taking for the weekend.

Wicksteed At War Show Dates 10th and 11th June 2017
Wicksteed Car Parks open at 9am and the main arena events start at 10am.
The Arena schedule and timings as well as a map of the show are in our Show Program, which can be purchased for £2 as you enter the arena field.
Friday the 9th of June is our School Education day, which is not open to the public.2017 Show Entry Price:None, its FREE ! however Wicksteed Park car parking is chargeable

BASTON IN THE BLITZ

Following our enormously successful 2016 show, preparation is now well underway for an even bigger and better event for you in 2017, with more traders and more displays. In addition to the return of all those military and home-front living history groups who displayed at Baston previously, we have many more new and varied groups who will be joining us for the first time this year.
We have a fresh new entertainment line-up which will include some fabulous singers seldom seen on the local 1940's circuit here in the East Midlands, plus some of your old favourites including the George Formby Experience (aka Paul Casper) and the cockney pearly king, Rosie Rose.
In response to public demand, we have introduced a range of official event merchandise. Although originally intended to be unveiled at this year's event, some of the range is available for purchase now. Please click on the 'Event Merchandise' button at the top of the page.
Please do come and enjoy the very special 1940's event experience that is Baston in the Blitz!

On-site Camping Facilities
We are able to offer a limited number of camping pitches to weekend visitors in 2017.
The campsite is approximately a 100 metre walk from the event entrance.
Campers are permitted on-site after 2pm Friday 4th August
and are welcome to stay until 11am Monday 7th August.
The campsite has toilet facilities and water available.
Please be aware there is no electrical hook-up.
All pitches are 20ft/6m wide x 30ft/9m deep.
The cost per pitch is £20 for the weekend.

PAPPLEWICK STEPS BACK IN TIME 39-45

Papplewick Pumping Station Rigg Lane Ravenshead - Postcode: NG15 9AJ (East Midlands)
Taking place on the 21st/22nd October is Papplewick's hugely popular 1940's event.
This year we have even more military and civilian display's, vintage vehicles and scenarios taking place around this beautiful steam pumping station. The King and Monty will be inspecting the troops, as well as passing on words of encouragement to our fighting men before they leave to do battle with the enemy.
We have a variety of performers to entertain you, trade stalls,a battle each day which takes place around the lake plus much, much more.
All the steam engines will be working, you can take a tour around our stunning underground reservoir, we have on site cafe, free parking, limited free camping for re enactors.
